28/8/12 Interview with The Verge

That’s actually a good point. The fun part about fighting those assassins was mostly due to the environment; stacks and stacks of cargo containers made for some very cramped corridors and a lot of corners, and that gave the assassins the advantage.

agreed

I personally think that the devs have made it so that it will be an interesting fight. The vehicles, different levels, and other things will probably simulate the same effect that random mazes of boxes would do. And who knows? Maybe they have added boxes since the picture. No one here knows if they just took the snapshot of their current work and uploaded it. For all we know it is from weeks or months or (hell) even a year+ ago. Stringing us along like the addicts that we are. I don’t mind. I have finally got a computer that can run every HL game on the highest settings without difficulty.

Edit - I think I see crates just left of center in the picture. Could be where they hid them all. Anyone else see that?

And I cant wait to see the area where you are jumped…the dead end kinda never did it for me. Either that or I am blind.

Oh BMS devs, u so funny.

Seriously, the Residue Processing opening is the best looking of the bunch, the Apprehension and OAR ones are pretty good, the spawning headcrabs look too HL2-ish for me, and the broken Spectrometer looks almost identical to the previous iteration (which isn’t bad, mind you, just not very interesting).

I don’t think there is any single image on the internet that would properly convey the amount of facepalm your comment requires.

The headcrabs didn’t even teleport in HL2 afaik.

The only thing that teleported in HL2 was Gordon.

And Alyx.

And Mossman, and Eli.

Also Lamarr.

and the cactus and books

Well I for one would be willing to volunteer my oh so precious time to test play the map and let everyone know just how awesome it really is :stuck_out_tongue:

I think everyone would be willing to volunteer except for the few that want the complete polished game without any bugs and iron sights…

omg. OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! AAAAAHHH!!! GODDAMNIT GORDONRETURNS!!!

…no.

I personally wouldn’t want to test this out. I’ve tested for a mod before, and playing the same parts over and over again with all the bugs and whatnot really takes all the fun out of the final product. You really can’t know how it is unless you’ve done it before though.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
