Actual number is ~1.2 million. 3 million seems to be the most common number the media has thrown out, though.

Well I’d like a Dirt 3 key if possible. I’d like to have at least one racing game on my account.

I registered the game on Steam using one of those and I was afraid they would ban my account.

Then you should contact Steam support and at least telling them that you activated one of these codes. I’m pretty sure they rather ban you (if they even do) if you do nothing but playing the game like nothing happened.

I really would like to see the source for the confirmation.

@OP thank you! just activated my free copy on my main account. (just scroll through one of the txt files, took me 3 tries to get an unused one)

if they ban me I will just send them an angry letter saying that I got the code from AMD :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think anyone was banned over this so far. Valve probably figures this is AMD’s fault and doesn’t give a shit.

edit: ah, just checked it out and the game was simply removed from my account.

Valve will only remove the game from your account.

Smart move, imo, that way they won’t alienate paying costumers by banning their valuable accounts.

All reports of the game being removed were from yesterday, so I guess I’m in the clear. plays shit out of D3 just in case
