Your Favourite BM Media?

Short answer: Yes

Long Answer: The lighting in that particular shot is set up for maximum atmosphere, so don’t expect the same style of lighting in every room. From what we have seen so far, the chapter with lighting most similar to that room on a consistent basis is Blast Pit, which just happens to be the chapter in which that room resides. If you want other examples, look at the dozens of level shots in the media section.

:awesome:

I’m actually happy to hear that. It looks nice. :3

I was referring to the HL2 assets (crates and shit), not that the level didn’t look good.

OMG that must mean the mod comes out next tuesday!

Yip thats cool. Go for it.

Haha, that’s exactly what I was thinking too.

Official trailer obv, but BM Soundtrack are just awesome! o_O

1. Black Mesa Theme
2. Surface Tension Theme
3. WGH Topside
4. Anomalous Materials
5. Blastpit
6. End Credits (part 2)

Make me crazy! Who wrote these tracks? There are full versions of this please?

Black Mesa features an original soundtrack composed by Joel Nielsen. Further information can be located at his website at https://www.joelnielsen.com/

the trailer would have to be my favorate, too!

I like the general look / atmosphere of these pictures alot:

Post 800.

Yes, so much better than the original ones. I always though that - for a desert - the HL1 desert had very cold colours.

These screenshots use warm colours and it gives the whole thing a better look.

Why does the jeep look smaller than the soldiers?

I know the jeep is further in the back compared to the soldiers, but it doesn’t even look good with that in mind.

Ah well, it’ll probably be fixed in the final version, or I’m just thinking too much.

Maybe they used a wider FOV for those screenshots and it screws up the perspective?

Probably just the perspective. You can see a soldier to the right of the Humvee, and he looks smaller compared to the others too.

But yeah, I like the pretty blue skies. I think they were removed, but I’m really hoping they make it in.

…dude, I mentioned that in my post.

I know, but you still deemed it a small enough possibility to still post your concerns.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
