I simply love the alien spawning effects with the sickly green light and the slight distortion. Remember seeing a video of it too with the mp5 also in it.

I had to recreate that particle system for Guard Duty.
Has not turned out well so far.
I think the portion of the main Black Mesa theme song that has been released so far is my favorite. That has built anticipation of the mod through setting the proper mood and atmosphere at least as much as the cool screen shots.
