I have pretty much the exact opposite of claustrophobia, I’m terrified of being out in really open spaces. If I’m in an enclosed space I can see everything that’s going on around me and there’s really no potential for anything to be hidden.
It’s called Agoraphobia.
Just out of curiosity, do either of you drive, or are passengers in cars, on a regular basis?
I do both on a regular basis, yes. Why?
I fear loosing someone I love… Also I fear being in a large crowd of people… I also have a fear of not being loved… Dont know what that is called though.
Technically agoraphobia is being in a place where help is not available or a fear of embarrassment from having a panic attack in a public place. Fear of crowds or open places is often a product of that, but just those fears aren’t agoraphobia.
It actually depends on who’s defining it though, agoraphobia can be very general. Sorry if this comes off as dickish, it’s not intended to

Agoraphobia is fear of large, open areas. You got both wrong.
Fear of losing someone you love is thanatophobia.
Fear of being in a large crowd is agrophobia.

Nope. Agoraphobia is having panic attacks in uncontrolled environments. And those environments can be open areas, crowded places or just unfamiliar surrounding.
So bscly you’re both right.
Oh well. Agrophobia is still fear of being in a large crowd.

It’s a question I like to ask to anyone who is afraid of flying.
Basically; this - if it helps to ease your mind any, you’re probably in more danger traveling by car than you are by airplane, and car crashes kill many more people per year than airplane accidents (it’s the -volume- of people involved in accidents that worries many people). I often hear the joke that the most dangerous part of traveling by air is the drive to the airport. It’s true.
E: When you travel by car you are mixed in with traffic, with people that could be in any state of mind or under the influence of a variety of substances, and your life is not only in the hands of the driver, but the drivers around you as well. When you travel by air your life is in the hands of well-trained and practiced personnel who offer a level of redundancy to the aircraft’s systems and are generally prepared for most emergencies, situations, or failures that may occur.
