Only thing that’s bad about it is breathing a ton of particles of plants into your lungs, but that’s mostly eliminated by filtering it.

Yes, I would. The correct usage is “Microsoft is,” since wer’re talking about a single entity (Microsoft).
It’s the same as saying “The army is.” Just because it’s comprised of more than one person doesn’t allow you to say “The army are.” If you’re talking about more than one armies, though, it does change to “are”.
