For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about (or have forgotten what they sound like):

Hmm. It never occurred to me to do it like that, I always went inside and rode the pillar thing up.
One of my theories about Xen is that the world itself is stretched out along the barrier between our universe and… someplace else. You couldn’t fly from point A to B, because it would be somewhere else along the border. You would have to use teleportation to get there, or possibly even just go very very far, or fly along a precise path.
The landmasses themselves could have been formed as earth, gases, even dimensional fabric slowly leaked into the void, turning a totally empty gap between two Branes (I think that’s the term) into a mini-universe, as it were. Eventually it became inhabitable, and the Nihilanth’s forces sought refuge there from the Combine.
It’s even possible that Xen inadvertently became a barrier between earth and the other universes, until we accidentally breached it.
Good idea. Maybe there could even be some Vortiguese “Flux-shifting” thrown in here or there while the vorts are idling.

If the developers want to know how Valve made the soud, check out the Developers Commentary, I heard one of the guys talking about how they made that shout.

Xen chapters was only updated? I understand by this that you haven’t done many changes only new textures; the levels remained the same? :freeman:
