The latter 2 goals was England’s defense fault. There was always one free German attacker on the right side, without being “marked” (or “followed”, whatever).

I can safely say, I dislike this too. I can see the rivalry back to 66’ and the disallowed on-the-line goal, similarities to this match, etc. but the war puns just annoy me.

The only consolation we can have is that it didn’t end up 5-1 like our victory in Munich a few years back. As if the gloating woudn’t be enough this time, imagine if you’d got that one extra goal… :fffuuu:
