Who is your favorite singer

Ivan Moody from FFDP

In beforeAll he does is scream!”

But his screaming is really good, anyway. :3

Opeth! Mikael was my second choice, along with Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor.

I saw NIN with Jane’s Addiction last year and he was pretty awful.

Yes. Trent Reznor is awesome.

Yeah but sometimes they just don’t feel like it.

That was a pretty bad tour for him. I don’t even think he was the headliner, was he? It was supposed to be his last tour before he got married too.

Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, PAIN, Bloodbath’s “Nightmares Made Flesh”, The Abyss)

I havent posted in here yet? oh who to choose? Choices choices… Ok, in no particular order:

Babs

Phil

Amy

Lara

Mariah

Christina

2nd Chapter of Acts

Darlene

Amy

tom waits!! tom waits

You would like Tom Waits. Have you seen his “Fishing with Jon” episode?

Call me white trash, but I’ve always liked the guy from Korn’s style of singing. Not the heavy metal scatman thing he does all the time, but when he actually sings.

also +1 for the dude from Opeth. And this dude https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFj59Jd-mzw

Probably Richard Wright when he sang Time, Peter Gabriel in the song The Knife from Genesis, Jack White is a kick-ass singer too!
And also Serge Fiori, the lead singer of Harmonium, a french-canadian band from the 70s.

WOW

That is a hard call.

However, Bebel Gilberto is certainly one.

Laura Fabian for sure

Oh my… Way to many to list. ACK!

which one ? me or Aricakes ? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a tough time choosing my favorite live singer between Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth and Rody Walker of Protest the Hero

But I think after seeing both of them live last year. I would have to give it to Rody Walker. His performance was pitch perfect and he hits higher notes than Åkerfeldt ever could, but doesn’t have the gutturals of Åkerfeldt, still Walker is an amazing live vocalist.

I love Gilmour’s and Wright’s vocals on that track!

Layne Stayley beat everyone here, no competition, this thread is complete, lets lock it now.

But these guys come a close 2nd and 3rd, I cant decide which though.

Quan Yeomans

And Trent Reznor

Holy fuck dude, ever single bit of respect I had for you just went out the window and joined thier terrible lyrics and horrendous singing.

Michal jackson my favorite singer.

You had respect for me? I thought we worked on a relationship of mutual distrust and anger.

Paul Banks, lead singer of Interpol.

Respect based on that disgust and anger.

  1. I’m gonna have to go old-school and say the unmatchable Paul Robeson.
  2. You might be surprised that my next pick is Alanis Morissette.
  3. After her powerful vocals, none other than the eternal John Lennon.
  4. And to conclude, the haunting melancholy of Suzumiya Haru–wait, no, of Paula Cole.
