Magnum gun and the gloun gun, those two were always my favorites in the original game

I loved the new MP5
it was my favorite weapon back in Half Life 1 and I use it for about 70% of the time in Black Mesa
besides that, there’s the crossbow, the gloun, tau cannon and the shotgun (the sound of this one is amazing)
I really never enjoyed the .357 in any of the games

HECU: MP5/Tau
A-grunts (and usually everything else): Shotgun/Tau/Gulon

If I had to pick a fav, the Gulon, blowing shit up in less than a second is just so satisfying.

Is there any sort of console command that allows me to pick up an absurd amount of ammo for the thing, just for screwing around?

The hivehand. Maybe just for its introductory sequence ( :smiley: ) but also because it feels more powerful than the original, which I think fits well with its place in the story.

And there is SO MUCH ammo for it in Lambda! Like, take the total amount in HL1, and multiply it by at least 4

However it eats up ammunition like mad. I tried using it at lambda core after I figured out that there are pletly ammunition for it, but I ended up using it too fast and couldnt find that much ammo anymore. Was low on ammo for other guns as well, so I dont think it`s a problem. At least on hard difficulty. x)

Anyway I like gluon gun as well, it was my favourite hl weapon when I was n00b, however it`s OP and not very challenging to use. But what was truly challenging was fps in final room, so Gluon gun really came handy as way to clear out room despite having terrible lags. :slight_smile:

Anyway, after finally completing this game, my favourite weapon turned out to be same gluon. Hivehand as my second favourite, because it`s very useful as well.

In SP the Shotgun, very reliable.

in MP the gaussgun a.k.a Tau Cannon, by far the most powerful and very versatile.

You need to edit the skill.cfg is you want an amount of ammo like 1000.
