What are you most excited to see?

The button that says “download”

The tram ride at the very beginning will be pretty cool to see in lots of detail

I wonder if BM will include things like the scientists banging at the doors and stuff?

After the cascade I always like to go back to the main door (after you get off tram) and smash the lock with the crowbar to open the doors again. Then you have that scientist stuck on the smashed up catwalk yelling not to come a any further. Naturally you do and the catwalk falls, the scientist grabs an electrical cable and tries to save him self. Obviously he cant manage it and falls to his doom. Then you hear the bullsquid eat him lol - classic moment

Que the closing techno theme

This is really not meant as trolling but I’ll genuinely be the most excited of the whole mod to just see the main menu for the very first time… absorbing the thought that it is finally released for real after all these years of waiting and finally booting on my pc.

Every moment after that will also be awesome, I’m sure and confident that it will be, but it will never top that single moment.

Here’s a direct download link for that Goldsrc map.

Surface Tension

Wow, this guy joined two years ago just to say that now. That’s the spirit!

Yeah…by the way exactly hows that gonna happen? From the pics I’ve seen the floor is pretty high and close to the tram rails, if he falls off the cable he’d probably survive…but then you’d be able to SEE the Bullsquid eat him.

That’s not gonna be pleasant. lol

I’m surprised nobody has said the mod being released.

Because that’s what I’d be most excited about.

Plus Gargs. Gargs are awesome.

Gabe Newell in very short hotpants.

The gibs.

Painting the walls with the brains of NPCs that are no longer useful to me.

Rami’s nose

Barney in a thong.

Adrian shepherd

Xen.

I know I’ll probably be equally impressed by lots of other things, but I’m excited about how old 90’s npc’s will translate to Source with realistic behavior.

Also, as a tard who played HL2 and Portal first, Half-Life 1 seems to me like an approximation of the Black Mesa Incident. Half-Life 2 conveys BM as the super significant event that it is, but the references are really vague. To someone who was new to it, like I was, it was like a shrouded mystery. Seeing the event unfold in specific detail will be like a history lesson on steroids :stuck_out_tongue:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
