EDIT: Listened to the Korn track…kinda definitely a bit too angsty for me, as much as I love the vibe of the track. I love Corey Taylor, too, but his addition doesn’t really help.

It’s not the heaviness that’s the problem, A Different World is plenty heavy. I dunno, it’s more like I’ve just grown bored with them. They’re one of the most annualized bands I know, pumping out an album every two years exactly since 1994. Seriously, look at the release dates of their albums.
With so many albums, they’ve never really progressed anywhere with the subject matter. I like the vibe of their music, that thumping bass and those crazy guitars…but Jon Davis just keeps going on and on about pain and sorrow and scars. It’s a tired routine.
That’s why I don’t like em much either tbh, there’s no development in any area.
Dunno if anybody’s into Riverside, but their new single is very different from their usual stuff. I love it, hope the entire album has this electronic kink to it.

FloFilz new album Cenário is such an excellent collection of superb beats. Especially the Features of Olivia Wendlandt are so smooth. I love the track Nuvem…she really has great voice. Her own album Twines (under her band name Relaén) is a definite recommendation if you like jazzy tunes with a great female voice. Enjoy!
