What are you listening to?

I skip a lot of metalcore now. I mostly only stop on a metalcore song if it’s Trivium or Killswitch.

Hey, Bolteh, got any recommendations for me? I want a band that’s kind of tribal/traditional sounding, kind of like Eluveitie but perhaps for a different culture. Know of any good picks?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Celldweller - Own Little World

is that first part of the comment directed at me?
cuz if it is, listen to whatever you want, it’s just my opinion

Entombed - Left Hand Path

Korpiklaani (Finnish culture, lore and general boozing) springs to mind:

Fejd (Swedish/Nordic culture and lore), though very Folk with limited metal influence:

Those are the only 2 that spring to mind that don’t have an overly metal vibe to them.

Other folk/pagan bands I would highly recommend, but with far heavier metal influences than those mentioned above:

Rush - YYZ

Napalm Death - From Enslavement To Obliteration (full album)

Morrowind OST - The road most traveled.

DevilDriver - Ripped Apart

Tor Linløkken - Dragon - The Longest Journey

Killswitch Engage - This Is My First Lemonade (Last Serenade)
Fear Factory - Edgecrusher

Sepultura - Refuse, Resist

^ awesome
Carcass - Reek Of Putrefaction (full album)

Both above tracks are.

Dry Kill Logic - Paper Tiger (live)

I’m going to Carcass in São Paulo, it’s gonna be fucking awesome

Napalm Death - Throwaway

You sure do love Napalm…

Obituary - Killing Time

and I also love Obituary
Obituary -Body bag

Goblin Cock - Striped Tiger Snaps

The Black Crow Smiles : Kuroshitsuji OST

Enya - May it be

Passion Pit - To Kingdom Come

This whole album (Manners) is pretty great.

this is very true.

Philter - The Beautiful Lies - Twenty Five
