Seriously, if you want to be able to hear anything after you 50th birthday, don’t use earphones/earbuds, daily use and extensivly damage your ear and degrade your hearing rapidly.
Especially if you are one of those tards on the bus or train who has their music so loud on their ipod that you can clearly hear it playing 3 seats away.

I usually have my iPhone on halfway volume or one step higher. Anything above and it’s way too loud or starts distorting.
I set the volume limit on my ipod at half way, and I usually have the volume sitting between 1/3 and 1/2. That’s usually loud enough for me.
