Sitting at home, having sent a Valentine E-Card to my ex, along with a text message on her mobile phone, telling her that she has mail.
That was six hours ago, and still no answer. Feelin’ fine, though. Nothing like a little depression to keep me going.
Small question: If a sitcom like “Scrubs” brings you to tears, should a therapy be started any day soon?

In all honesty I think it effects women more than men to be alone on vday.
I generally avoid starting relationships before today specifically because of the holiday, which is difficult because generally the best time in the world to find someone to hook up with is between December 25th and February 14.
a) they want someone to kiss on new years
b) they don’t want to be a loner on valentines day
and c) Late winter/Early Spring is statistically the time of year that more females actively seek a mate. Its in the genes or something.
A new relationship going through valentines day is… more trouble than its worth, I’ve found. More often than not you go to some effort making the day special for them and they leave you a couple weeks later.
My tactic is to wait until after its over and see who is actually still interested. They might be a little irked that I didn’t “find them” before valentines day, but if they are genuinely into you than they will get over it quickly.
I just woke up, and it’s 6:30 pm. I have effectively avoided all romantic contact with people. Woo!
