Multiplayer games do generally have more replayability because they have varying modes and maps, new ones are developed and mods are created. In singleplayer the game is pretty much always the same. You can use different weapons and what not, but you always have to complete the same objectives, and the AI always say the same lines and what not.
But some games let you play differently all the time in SP. Really depends on the skill of the devs.
Personally, I enjoy the stories of SP games. Right now, I’m being blown away right now by AC2 and its multiple storylines (Subject 16 and the history explaining puzzles his arc supplies), not to mention the fact that you really feel accomplished when you upgrade your villa, find a treasure chest, buy a painting, or purchase that armor piece or weapon you were really saving up for.
Just a little off topic. I’ve only just finished saving Medici from the conspirators, so I don’t know how far I am in the story, but I must say that AC2 might be the best game of the year.
