There was an incident that a suspension part came off the back of Rubens Barrichello’s car, but I’m not sure if they were related. Luckily the safety precautions did their job well.

They were, there was an onboard shot from Massa’s car where you saw the suspension piece bouncing about and whacking Massa on the head, he was dazed and just went in a straight line to the barrier.
