Yeah that Gamer movie looks like it has potential.
Let me stress that though. POTENTIAL.
Sometimes with movies you just know they’re gonna be awesome. When I saw that District 9 trailer I knew it would be fantastic.
But that Gamer trailer fills me with doubt. Will it really be as great as it seems to be?
Will the story be decent enough? The acting? It raises questions.
And until it proves me otherwise, I think it’s gonna suck.
If there’s one thing I learned from Hollywood movie trailers it’s never to get your hopes up.
So I’m cynic about any trailers that don’t completely blow me away, so they can never really dissapoint me.
(Though even that sometimes occures with really terrible movies)
Gamer looks like a really interesting concept carried out in crappy Hollywood fashion.

Anyone else is watching the Colony? It airs on Discovery Channel, but sadly it doesn’t on Discovery Canada so I watch them through torrent every week.
What is the Colony? It’s a ten week experiment to see how people could survive to a global catastrophe. 12 people are gathered in a warehouse in downtown LA and they try to survive with limited food, water and electricity. There are also thugs who try to steal their foods. It’s really interesting since they show everything they build.

I just tried voice acting for the first time last night. My equipment: a clip-on microphone and Audacity. Not even a name brand clip-on; it came with an mp3 player I got coming on six years ago. The result was surprisingly good, all things considered.
