I just finished setting up my parents’ “new” computer. (It’s a computer that my dad’s office was getting rid of.) Finally, they’re upgrading from the old PIII 1.2 GHz, 512MB RAM, 40 GB hard drive rig they had (which barely runs firefox).
Anyway, get this: this computer that my dad brought in - from his office, which they were getting rid of - has a Radeon X1600 512 MB graphics card, a gig of DDR3200 SDRAM, and an 80 GB hard drive. WTF!??!? Why can’t I get a comp like that this easily?

Why I like working in IT. Today my boss offered me a server that he was going to toss out. I turned it down because my internet it too slow to host a server, and I don’t have enough room for it anyways.
