What CPU? Different chips have different limmits. My E6750 runs really hot, around 80C under load, its been like that since i’ve had it, and its still running strong.

I know that laptops are made to run hotter than desktops, so as far as I’m aware, that’s not horrible, but hey- I’ve always used desktops. So what do I know.

Actually they didn’t make too many changes. They took off the front and side of the case, screwed on some plates, switched out the buttons for switches, covered the empty drive bays with grating, tacked on a gauge, and painted it.

:expressionless:Shaves off his soul patch :’(

I’m okay then because it’s a dumbed down version of your CPU, T5550.

And it would shut down itself before overheating anyway.

85 is OK, as long as it doesn’t go like this:

.

As you well should.

Well the GPU heats up to 103C maximum, but that’s because I was clocking it to Geforce 8800 clock speeds.

Wow, your guys have really hot computers, under load, my computer gets to 60 degrees.
I had a laptop a while back, and I used it on blankets and beds and such, got no ventilation, and melted something inside and started to BSOD all the time.

Damnit, I was reading the funny, 7 page locked thread in the suggestion forum and then someone came along and deleted it!

Cannot connect to steam network, try again later.

It wasn’t that funny. More stupid than funny.

The name calling/trolling was funny.

Well, it’s not always like that. The fan was broken, I sent it off to get repaired and now it’s much cooler. But I kept the screengrab anyway

I just got paid*

  • I only get paid once a month, and this check is for September. So to get an extra $2000 in my savings account just before going out to Vegas is uber-cool. Although it is more likely to go towards buying a new Camaro than any gambling purposes
