I saw Terminator Salvation the other day. I wasn’t sure what exactly was going on, and I don’t think the director did either. Like a random nuke in the opening scene that just kills everything except John Connor. And a T-800 that has been “upgraded”, despite being the first one ever built.
It was nuked because connor was there, and he saw it coming so he took the helicopter, also it has been updated from the previous model, it’s not the first one ever made.
I kinda liked that movie, even though they keep pushing the story further and further.
No, Connor took the chopper to chase after the Hunter Killer/Prison Transport. It was sheer luck he escaped the nuke.
I think you missed my point about the T-800, it is meant to be one of the first models. The movie takes place when the T-600 was still relatively new. By my guess they’ll send the 800 back in time in the next film.

Anyway on the subject of sleep walking testing, I think they would have to test while you’re sleeping while they monitor your vital signs (they are different when you’re asleep, even when sleepwalking) and wait until you actually start to sleepwalk, and you better hope it happens and you’re not faking.
How different are these vital signs? Sleepwalkers act very normally but have no recollection of what they do while sleepwalking. So why should the vital signs be altered?
Because your brain has different “states” of mind, that show up in the detectors, when you’re sleepwalking, parts of your brain remain in “sleep mode” otherwise it wouldn’t be called sleepwalking.
