^Agreed.
Obviously you’ve never seen Bend it Like Beckham.
When the fuck is Watchmen coming to DVD? there’s been ‘Coming soon to dvd’ Watchmen posters at Target for three months.
Oh God… The memories… They’re coming back :aah:
I can’t believe I actually own a DVD copy of that crappy film.
The 21st.
One week from today.
Today the new DevilDriver CD should have come out as well. I gots to buy me some new stuff this month
I’m thinkin about picking up 2 flatscreen monitors for my PC. Can anyone recommend some reasonably priced ones that would be good? I’ve only got a GeForce 6800XT, so they can’t really be massive.
I think I finally got the folding node up and running properly.
3x 8800GTS 512, a Q6600, etc.
All that power and it will never see any games. haha.
Then spend your money on buying a better videocard instead of wasting it on something useless like 2 screens.
That’s what I’d do anyway. Get yourself a nice reasonably prices 4890 or something. (If you have PCI-E that is. Otherwise you’ll also need a new mobo and blablabla.)
Top Gear is slowly becoming too fucking epic for a TV show. Probably post-production (blasphemy!) but what-the-fuck-ever.
DVD rips have been out for a while on the internet, as well as vob/iso rips, so you get the special features too. (IIRC)
Something along these lines. First of all, 2 monitors isn’t useless, it is extremely useful. You doubt it until you own it, and when you own it you wonder how you lived without it.
I’d recommend a better video card, and a slightly cheaper single monitor, and when you have more money, upgrade to a second one. 19 or 20 inches is a good starting point.
Guy does not know what the fuck is he talking about.
Agreed. The problem here is that I’m running an AGP mobo and I really don’t want to upgrade everything. My 6800XT does me just fine, I can play source games at max settings and even Gears of War. I’m just looking for two nice monitors is all. Right now I’m borrowing a Dell flatscreen (which I loooove) and I have my CRT as my second one. There’s nothing better than having your music and social networking shit open on one side, and then your other internet browsing or a game open on the other.
I agree, though I would take exception to your characterisation that it’s slowly becoming too epic for mere televisual lolligaggery…
Since the polar one (or one of those giant adventure ones), it’s gotten more epic in giant leaps.
Also: yay at the ol’ ijgs avatar and sig!
You’re a sad man soup, that you should find my choice of avatar and sig so appealing!
If you don’t really game, then your current card is fine for running basically any size monitor. Googling your card, it seems that it can come in two flavours. 2 DVI ports or 1 VGA and 1 DVI. Either way you’d be fine running two 24" monitors. Just don’t expect to play the latest games that’s all.
I have the 720P of Watchmen, can’t wait for the 12Mbps 1080P rip of the Director’s Cut with the Black Freighter sequences added.
There is a 720P copy of the directors cut of watchmen on scene releases, but I guess people aren’t happy with the FPS. It’s only a week I’m just gonna go buy the blu ray.
You need lots of Mbps for a good quality release. Someone just released a 1080P of Watchmen DC that is only 8Mbps which is pretty crap. It’s like 14GB. It should be at least 10-12Mbps and 20GB for a 3 hour + movie.
