Yeah but no matter how durable the car, they manage to crash it so hard that they have to buy a new one. :stuck_out_tongue:

lol i pwn u all. 20 yr old driving a 91 Ford Laser 1.6L, paying $350. Only third-party though :3

And my laser is freaking shit with fuel economy for its size. 45L will last me 350-400km’s which is like 13L/100km which is worse than V8 economy.

And I always read it as kah-zeh.

They’re built more durable to protect you from Kaze’s earth-shattering facepalm.
God Dammit. Everyone posts something just before I post.

I’m nearly dead (33) and own a Fiat Punto and Toyota Oldfartpensionertaxicabsadactwagon (or Avensis, as I’m reliably informed the good people at Toyota like them to be called… guess they didn’t get the memo!) which cost me around Ā£400 a year to insure and about Ā£35 a week to fill (that’s for both cars, the insurance is about Ā£200 for both of them, including roadside/recovery breakdown assistance, when petrol’s sub Ā£1 I can get that down to Ā£25 per week total for both… and both cars are doing around 9,000-10,000 miles per year).

The Punto’s amusing, in that you can weld the accelerator to the floorpan and it’ll still return 45mpg without breaking a sweat (always good fun baiting Toyota Pious owners with that)… other than that it’s horrible. The Toyota’s comfy (well gotta cater for them old-folk piles and all) and has an endearing habit of leaning onto its doorhandles when cornering briskly which makes life more exciting. However, it cost me absolutely nothing as it was given to me, so I’m happy to run it into its grave while saving for something a bit more… interesting.

Nope, that’s for the sake of making them heavier so that they miss the first corner they encounter and hit the wall lined with concrete, still to be squished to half-length.

I’d make some kind of snobby-cyclist remark about the essentially zero running cost of my sexy Dawes Galaxy (a venerable decades-old hand-me-down from my brother, but looking at the Dawes official website a new one now would cost Ā£1,149.99! :O), but with all the fuckers leaving glass and all sorts of shit in the roads I’m running on a puncture rate of roughly one every 6 journeys. > :frowning: Seriously need some new puncture-resistant tyres.

Theft, crashes and fire.

Plus 3rd party.

My modded 04’ WRX STi is about $175 a month to insure and I’m 20.

You must be some high risk motherfuckers.

Ah yeah, typo.

You see though, if my car is written off, its not going to be my fault.

Cheapest way to increase torque is to increase the volume. That is the one of the reasons why american cars have big engines, the second one being low price for fuel in US.

Mind you, 4.5 litre V8 Merc engine (without a supercharger) churns out more bhp and torque than a Corvette supercharged 6.0 liter V8.

American engines are heaps of junk.

What the fuck ever, I was just under the impression that you doubted the existence of 4 litre v8.

You suck at impressions then

Fair enough.
Not really keen on Fords.

Well, unless it’s an old Mustang or GT40.

I’m insured for what the thing is worth.

About $3000, if that, it’s full of rust and covered in hail damage.

So it means you bought the car twice then.
Damn, never thought that you pay so much to insure a car.

I pay somewhere between $150 and $180 a month for my 2000 Pontiac Firebird (I don’t even look at the bills anymore). Ooh…

finds a bill right in front of him

Two years ago it was $715 for half the year.

How is it that I drive an all-wheel-drive, high performance oriented sedan pushing 400 horses at the wheels but my insurance for full coverage is less than someone who drives a Firebird.

:what:

Hookers, grandmothers, children, on my spare time, work hours, while sleepwalking. Whoever and whenever basically.
