That’s the address of my house!

Where we’re going we don’t need roads
[edit] also, re: the Unix thing a while back, when I hear “Unix” I’m filled with an urge to beat Spielberg and the Jurassic Park screenwriter into a bloody pulp for the line, “I know this… This is a UNIX system”
NO YOU DON’T! YOU’RE AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL AND YOU’RE LOOKING AT A FUCKING SCREENSAVER!!!1!!!1!
Why is technology & science always so fucking retarded when it’s on screen, Stargate-Pointless Continuation Of A Pointless Franchise Starring Robbie Carlisle is a case in point. An episode I happened to watch in dismay featured retardenation such as:
-A shuttle being able to cover two AUs in the time that some character takes to read one hundred pages of his book… let’s say 8 hours or so… during which time, the main craft covers half that distance. Yet the shuttle (which can clearly accellerate to speeds in excess of 40 million MPH, and seemingly has a very efficient energy source) can’t catch the main craft when it “whizzes past”.
-The fact that the characters on this shuttle don’t become human smoothies due to accellerating by 10 million MPH every hour for eight hours.
-The characters being able to see a vessel that’s travelling at a significant portion of light-speed. Over a million miles away. With the naked eye.
-The main ship’s (presumably terrifyingly energy wasteful) gravity system working on full chat, when all other systems (including life support) are on absolute minimum, surely the first thing you’d do is turn off the unnecessary stuff… like systems that require the net power output of a small sun to function.
I suspect I may be taking such shows a little too seriously, but honestly, screenwriters of the world, do some bloody research. It doesn’t have to be absolutely accurate, but assuming your audience has an average IQ (i.e. 100 or so) would be a good starter for ten, surely…
Sorry about that little rant!
Halloween has become so unpurist these days; what happened to the good ole’ days when going out on Halloween night actually led to a high probability of injury and/or death?
You can tell it’s halloween in the UK when they start IDing you to buy eggs and flower. Not like a person like me is more responsible that a sub 18 year old, oh no
.
What Happened? the cops got called 'cause some dumbass kids took the “Trick” part of Halloween WAY too far
You can tell it is Halloween here when all the girls are dressed like they are ready for some “Role-playing”.
I was going to suggest to our town board that burning children for asking for candy was not only festive and educational but also highly entertaining.

My mom bought candy to give out to kids on halloween but I just kicked them out when they rang the door and kept all the candy.
But seriously, I just turned the lights off so nobody showed up, and I keep all the candy.
mmmm roleplay
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
