Not agreed.
Ratios are easy to maintain on sites with large files, just keep your files seeding forever, not a big deal. Sites with bonus/points I like, because on some of them allow you to buy upload, which is useful on my super slow internet.

Well I got 20GB of download and 10GB of upload, so I have hard time gettin’ good ratios. Also I pirate things because I can’t afford them, so I’m not gonna pay to pirate things. I’d buy them instead.

Also I just sorted out the problem. It seems like the problem was AVG. It kinda blocked the file from being moved because it detected it as a threat. So I added the file to the “exceptions” and I could do whatever I wanted with it.

Wait who is torrent?

Port forwarding also helps. I usually limit myself, and only use private sites for movies I can’t find of high quality elsewhere.

I’m assuming you mean Torrent Sites? That’s what is being discussed.

Torrent sites judging you by ratio are unfair in and of themselves. There’s an easy to understand reason for that.

For every copy of a file you download, you have to supply (most of the time at least) one copy of that file. So for every person that downloads that file, there has to be at least one person who wants to download that file, who then needs another person to upload that file to, et cetera ad infinitum. This is even more true if you get rewards for having a very high ratio.

So in the end it’s just a retarded pyramid scheme which allows the owners of the torrent site to make money by selling upload. So all that really happens is that some stupid people think: “yay! private site!.. ohnoes mah uploads brb buyin’ some” and the owners make money off them.

Oh, btw, I myself am member of several private trackers/sites. I make sure to seed as much as I can (often >10) so as to screw others. Enjoy your fucked up ratio =)

Most of the private trackers i’m on I have just over 100GB downloaded and always more than 90GB uploaded. Like to keep it near 1:1.

Some of them I’ve uploaded way more, like on the one I used to run. Then we got cease and desist =[

Just upgraded to Windows 7. Pretty smooth so far…

I’ve got a huge amount uploaded on hdfrench, mostly because I let 2 friends use my account, and they have amazing internet speeds (over 10mb).

I don’t think you have swineflu. Enjoy your over-rated, over-hyped nausea.

I guess I’m the most important thing here anyway.

I never said it was from the swine

Lol I just checked steam and I’ve played 33 hours of Fallour 3 in the last 2 weeks.

As well as 15 hours of CSS and SDK each.

I’ve played 35 hours of hl2dm, 30 hours of left 4 dead (dunno how that works cuz I only had it during the free friday thing)
