CERN will announce the discovery of the Higgs Boson on July 4 0900 CEST.

The statistical results from this year’s data are not yet public, but the word is that the statistical certainty of the Higgs signal will reach 5σ, which is the statistical requirement for discovery in particle physics. 5σ is a probability of about 0.99999971289506.
