I’ll agree that Superman is one of the most boring comic book characters of all time, and I certainly wasn’t a fan of the original movie, but there’s no doubt that it was a hell of an achievement for the time.

It’s not based on the games. It’s based on a novel by L Ron Hubbard, best known as the founder of the “religion”/cult/cash scam known as $cientology.
There are rumors that the film uses brainwashing to turn the viewers into $cientologist. That may explain why you saw “all three hours or so” of the film. Luckily, the brainwashing techniques was cancelled out by the film’s complete assness, and thus saving a generation of movie goers.

I’d be a bad judge for this. I love bad movies really. Sometimes you’re just so damn funny and entertaining in their badness. Like Dune, Commando, or Judge Dredd…

But for movies that aren’t entertaining in any way shape or form?
