Sounds to me like a device designed to impart near-resonance, oscillating gradually between constructive and destructive interferences. Alternatively, it could simply scan all frequencies to allow measurement of resonance. It would make a good model for stress-testing.
I wonder if there’s a patent for an anti-mass spectrometer…

Well, listening to music from fantasy RPGs has completely killed my motivation to write that science fiction/fantasy short story, like nothing else over the past few days has managed to do so far. So that sucks.

So I’m in the process of ETSing out of the army, and right now I am also apart of rear-detachment due to my battalion being out in the field and I am trying to clear the installation.
The army is totally retarded when it comes to this, I have to drive all over the entire base, getting stamps from things like dental, medical, libary, PX and do about 100 briefings that talk about how scary civilian life is.
And because I am clearing, most people wouldnt be put on CQ/Staff Duty but for whatever reason I have been doing back to back shifts (24hr on, 24hr off). Now I’ve only cleared about 15% of what I needed to be done by this time because I’m supposed to be gone by the 1st of oct.

TV keeps turning its self off every hour, converter box every 3 hours… think somethings wrong with the wires or its haunted.
Internet cuts out at around 8-9 PM; it’s been happening for 3 days in a row now, restarting the router at least twice fixes it…I’m on ADSL2+ so I dunno what the heck is toying around with my net, but it is pretty damn annoying…

…Actually, I take that back, you can legitimately download Red Alert 1 from a few concealed places. It was released on the net for free as part of hype for Red Alert 3.
