Yah adobe reader is bad mojo. Either get pro (some way or another) or get Foxit Reader. Works on 95% of the files and requires less than 1/2 the system resources. I use it to display PDF e-books on a 500MHz Geode processor.

See, I told you. The majority of people ‘diagnosed’ with ADHD, are just annoying little twats that didn’t receive any proper parenting, but don’t let their parents know that… It’s easier to claim they have ADHD.

darkone, there are new studies coming out that say some kids are being mis diagnosed with adhd that actually have brain allergies. These brain allergies cause the same symptoms as adhd but because it is a new field, not many doctors are understanding how food causes disconnects in the brain. I am going to have my two kids tested as soon as I can get some money together.

Allergies in the brain would be very rare, because the blood brain barrier prevents the majority of the immune system from entering the cerebral area.
ADHD can be caused by an enlargement of the ventricles of the brain, and therefore a subsequent change in neural functioning.
I don’t see why you’d have hypersensitivity in the brain, although I suppose if there was a perforation in the blood-brain barrier it might be possible, but I would have thought that would have caused other symptoms.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to have hypersensitivity in the brain?
I’ve always been diagnosed with ADD, as well as some other things, but still manage to do pretty well in sch-ooh, pictures of cats doing funny things.
So first you tell me to shut up and then you go on to prove my point by posting a link that tells us that you can easily control “misdiagnosed” ADHD through simple natural factors?

Don’t try to get around what you meant and what I meant. You meant it in a way that it is the parents fault a kid acts different. I meant it in a way that it is NOT the parents fault that the kid acts different.
You tried to bring it all down to the public’s favorite common denominator of “annoying little twats that didn’t receive any proper parenting”. This is a quick and easy blame game that many like to play. I for one am going to tell you that it is a rather ignorant stance to take on every single thing that goes wrong with a child. So call me weird all you like, but I for one would rather continue to look for answers as to why I have two children that act like they have ants in their pants 24/7/365 days a year.
It is the fault of the parents when they fail at keeping their kids in check and then don’t bother to actually try and figure out what’s wrong or how to take control, just because the doctor claimed they had ADHD.
Great, you’re willing to figure out why your kids have ants in their pants, that shows you want to discover what’s really going on, take pride in the fact that you’re one of the few to do this.
Catz, have you considered the possibility that your kids are just hyperactive, that the environment they are in (school etc.) coupled with maybe other factors (such as diet etc.) may cause them to be hyperactive.
I think a lot of children go through a stage of hyperactivity, and our society is to quick to label things as abnormal. That being said, if you still think there is something wrong then you should go to have your kids checked out. 
Edit: To some extent Bolteh is correct, the environment is the greatest factor in determining a child’s psycological health, and does effect (we don’t know to what extent yet) their neurological health as well. He’s not labelling everyone as such, he’s just saying that for a lot of cases (although I don’t agree that it’s the majority) it is due to the parents giving their children a poor living environment.
