So Graspop Metal Meeting, one of Europe’s bigger metal festivals rounded up their line-up today. After booking massive fail like Stone Temple Pilots and Aerosmith (this one’s a “headliner”), and booking Kiss again, they wanted to keep the last headliner a secret because it was such a huge name that they wanted to keep the suspense…
And the last headliner is… Guns’n’Roses… Massive assrape that is… Not only did they skyrocket their ticketprices, but with that extra money, they booked a band that never was any good to begin with (Slash’s mad skills only managed to make it bearable), and on top of that, GnR played Graspop a few years ago and it was by far the worst show I had (and have) ever seen (and every attendant there agrees with this, even the diehard GnR fans).
I’m so seriously bummed right now and already sold my tickets because 2-3 bands I really want to see, extremely shitty headliners, ‘meh’ subliners and shitty programming isn’t worth the €145 pricetag (fuck me, my first Graspop visit cost me €85 or so for the entire weekend).
Seriously, instead of wasting all that money on 2 shitty subpar headliners and one that has lost its “oh neat, this is quite unique”-factor, why not invest in something like getting Led Zeppelin, Metallica, AC/DC… Fuck, even Slipknot would make better headliners >_> Rargh

I just about had kittens watching those retards in concert footage. You shell out huge cash so that the retards can swear at you? I was hoping the stage lighting would fall on them. Some of their songs are reasonable - but they are not all that. I feel for you man. Pain… for sure.
