THE RAGE TOPIC

Dis iTunes and iPod and Apple all you want, but missing your Zune is a grave offense. Nobody misses Zune. Not even Steve Balmer.

My Zune was stolen about a year ago. Who steals a Zune?

The person that stole it probably thought “Aw yea, got myself an iPod… Or maybe even an iPhone”, then threw it away in the sewers when he noticed it was a Zune.

It was hardy and reliable while I had it. On top of that, it was about $70 refurbished. Not to mention, the software blows iTunes out of the water and it was just unknown enough to satisfy my hipster needs.

(I miss my Zune)

Did you ever have a Zune? The 1st gens were shit but the 2nd gen 80gb and 120gb were great and the software was nicely setup. The hard-drive only failed because I dropped it one to many times on concrete floors :expressionless:

Is that 2nd gen Zune the HD version, where the only positive thing was “the black is the blackest black in history of touch devices”?

no that was their 3rd set of stuff that were all touch-screen I’ve never used one of those, aside from my friends once or twice (I’m not a big touch-screen fan). They had a some non-touch players before those that were good. anyway it was
1st gen - shitty plastic easily breakable crap with a re-skinned wmp 9 as its player
2nd gen - good 80gb & 120gb models with nice tough glass composite screens. and their smaller 4gb, 8gb and 16gb nano models.
then the touch screens

lol, people bitching about apple
theres no reason to replace an ipod
ipods are good mp3 players quit being shitty hipsters and hating things because everyone likes them

Dats what I be saying. But hipsters gotta hip

Hey I hated iPods before they were popular.

Oh god, perhaps I am a hipster… but if I am, I’ve been one since before emo’s 4th definition existed.

Aw yeah indeed.

Don’t you hate when you get something like that to move a tiny bit, by accident, and can’t replicate it?

I had something like that happen on my GPS receiver, just last week… then I figured out the direction of a menu was reversed… then I figured out I was incrementing a letter, causing it to scroll further down the alphabetized list…
I guess it’s a nifty feature…

Manuals. How do they work?

By all means, go for it: https://www.lowrance.com/upload/Lowrance/Documents/Manuals/iFINDERGoAdvanced_0148-731_Rev2_050305.pdf

I’m sure it describes the alphabetic node-find feature somewhere.

havent heard that meme in a good while

i, too, hate the twirly thing with ipods
thankfully ive never had one
or an mp3 for that matter

Oh, definitely!!! I had the same memory-stick MP3 business, except less mainstream than Sony.

I’ll always have fond memories of this thing and its 128mb:

It had an ingenious control method. There was a single input-wheel on the top. It could be flipped forward, flipped backward, or pressed downward. These actions could be held stable or performed quickly, for a total of 6 commands (including power-toggle).

And continuing the booklet-discussion, my GPS came from eBay! :awesome:
It came in a box with literally no other packaging, just kind of bouncing around in there…

get an ipod touch problem solved
and if u cant figure out the twirly thing u might… be a little… slow…
it is annoying sometimes tho

Yeah Zune’s controls were great to go up you scrolled up with the touch pad or if you didn’t wanna do that you could just turn off the touch pad and press up. The spinning scroll thing is annoying to use.

i had this before(only with 512 MB ) and i would love to have one again with a little more space  controls were simple and made sense, and it had all the functions i need.
