I don’t trust the media, because they also claim that he said he wanted to wipe Israel off the map which is not what he actually said. If what you say is true, I’d like to see hard evidence. I know I can’t just blindly trust his words, but what more do I have.
He’s (kinda) in charge of a country that openly cracks down on protesters, limits women’s rights, and is in effect a religious state. I’d trust the media a lot more than him.
He is also a holocaust denier, and that can be backed up.

As far as holocaust denial goes, hes never been really clear about it. Sometimes he denies it, other times he just questions whether or not the holocaust is exaggerated. He is mostly just pissed off that Israel is using it as an excuse to do whatever they want.
As opposed to a nation that is fighting multiple wars, bombs the shit out of cities and tortures people for interrogation? And what about those protests? Were they like the ones in London, or were they peaceful?
He’s a dictator, the protestors were protesting this. There was a rigged election, and they got pissed. Unlike London, they had a purpose, and a damn good one at that.
He’s largely annoyed at how the holocaust provides Jews some right to a country, which he hates. He’s an antisemitic bastard, pure and simple. Its like listening to what Hitler said.
And comparing Iran to the US… Dammit, that idiotic. One is a democratic country. The other is a dictatorship. One is fighting wars for a reason (and hasn’t bombed a city intentionally during them) and the other is supplying the terrorists fighting against them.
Forget about all the deaths, forget about all the military bases and military forces stationed in the ME, forget about the 1953 coup. Just shut down your brain, don’t ask yourself why they hate us, don’t ask yourself whether they see us as the terrorists. Bombing nations, fighting wars, killing thousands, with reason. I recognize fully they have reasons for hating us. At the same time, however, I see a dictatorship that oppresses their people and openly works against a power that, like it or not, is a free country. Hitler had reasons too, but any half way reasonable person sees that they don’t hold up. They may pretend its for the people, but at the end of the day, the government of Iran is not the people, its a force oppressing the people.
