Why do people from the west do alway care about grammar of another? they just make their self sound racist.
More often than not, I find poor-grammar intolerance to be elitist, for the judgement must be cast most harshly on those who speak the language natively. It is not beyond expectation that an individual should have the capacity to master one tongue.
But when it comes to foreign learners, sometimes I find the intolerance and xenophobia to be disgusting. It doesn’t have anything to do with races or racism, but it’s a simple distrust of anything not from one’s own familiar culture. One should instead be lenient and appreciative when such a stranger takes the effort to learn some of that language.
While I admit it seems that large portion of Westerners are those who commit such a thoughtcrime, the sample group may be skewed because I only get to observe in English, and you probably only get to communicate toward native English-speakers, and English tends to be the most dominant language on the Internet.
Such an unjust hate can certainly be revealed by speakers of other languages. I once observed an individual be insulted by mixing the word para with por in Spanish (toward vs. through), with Spanish being their tertiary language…
And so, I got to observe the kindest soul I’ve ever met generate a truly, righteously vindictive e-mail, one that openly mocked the native speaker’s inability to appreciate foreignness :3

My “rage” is somewhat related. I hate when medias take a new alternative band (there are a lot of good ones here in Québec, you should definitely check for Malajube and Karkwa if you don’t mind the French singing)[/SIZE] and promote, talk and pull the juice out of them until people are sick of it. Then they just pick another band and repeat the process.

I’ve heard of Malajube before but it was over a year ago when they had no cd out, now that they do I have to get it, and Karkwa are interesting I enjoy them.
