The Last Film You Saw.

I’m actually really glad that the Mist didn’t go for the stereotypical happy uplifting ending.

I watched Robocop today.

It was okay, but not as cool as I imagined it when I was in elementary school. Much more violent, though.

Yeah, I’d say that’s the only thing keeping me from hating the writer for that.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Not a bad movie. there were some moments where I didn’t want to keep watching intently, but I suffered through those and for the most part the rest of it was entertaining.

The movie and the story had different endings.

Saw John Carter of Mars.

Was… not as bad as expected. Still not great. All the humanoid characters were really uninteresting. Good thing there was an army of non-humanoids.

The Grey.

Was expecting a lot more action, but that doesn’t mean I was disappointed.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension

It was very…well…

I’ll probably not watch it again.

Also, Jeff Goldblum as a cowboy for no reason.

Live and Let Die

Another magnificent Bond film. I really enjoyed it, though the stereotypical redneck cop role was a little disturbing. Did the Brits really view Americans like that in the 70’s? I remember in a few of the others, Diamonds are Forever specifically, where it had a Dukes of Hazard type chase with boisterous American cops tailing Bond and his adversary as well.

Regardless, still an excellent movie, though the fictional island of San Monique should have just been called Jamaica because that’s where it was filmed. Also Jamaica would have fit the voodoo New Orleans theme that they were shooting for.

Also; Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman as a sexy Bond girl ftw.

21 Jump street. Way way way way funnier than I expected.

I expected a low tier Will Farrell comedy, (as in Semi-Pro which is abysmal as opposed to Anchorman which is fucking classic) and got something I’d probably be able to shelf next to Super Troopers.

Also, either Channing Tatum is getting better, or he’s finally found a character he could fit for.

Ghost rider 2

Closed player after 15m or so.

You missed it scratching at the door.

You didn’t mention a single movie I would watch in that post.

Green Latern, just the beginning. I lost interest after the autopsy.

The Iron Giant. Still love it

Oh, aren’t you quite the jaded cinematic badass?

You’d fit right at home in the Aintitcool talkbacks.

Now, Green Lantern was godawful, but the two rebar-up-ass comments back to back were too hard to ignore.

Pitch Black. I was really tired when I watched it, so this is probably not the best review, but it was rather boring to me. Everyone kept dropping the f-bomb for no apparent reason other than to bump up the rating. The final death in the movie didn’t really make sense from a story-telling angle. The CGI special effects were pretty bad, even for 2000. All in all, I didn’t care for it.

no.

This franchise is much better as a game series.

Oh yeah, the spaceship scenes were cool. I forgot about that. Well, I was really tired, like I said. I didn’t care for the CGI monsters but I guess they probably weren’t that bad either.

Pitch Black was much better than it’s sequel, IMO.

The sequel had so much promise, it just wasn’t good. I blame the budget + laziness.

Nah, not laziness. I’d say executive meddling. Nothing Riddick related should ever be PG13.
