The Last Film You Saw.

Fast Five is the best F&F film.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - (6/10)

Well, it wasn’t bad, but the previous movies were a lot better. I don’t know, the humour wasn’t great too. Only a few laughs and that’s it. The action was good, but not as amazing as in part 2 and 3. Maybe it’s because of the new director.

Executioners From Shaolin - Not particularly good. The fight scenes were typical 70s fair. The ending was terrible.

X-Men First Class.

Excellent. Funny story; the theater had a false fire alarm, and our show was delayed forty five minutes. We weren’t even sure if we were even going to be able to watch it. In the end, it worked out, and we got to watch an awesome movie. Worth the wait.

The Green Hornet, funny.

What, were you at Garden State Plaza in New Jersey? My viewing of Tron Legacy was interrupted twice by fire alarms.

Sorry for the double post, but…

I was just watching the movie Salt, and I noticed a really big fucking plot hole that anyone from D.C. should be able to point out. She was captured at the white House, and Chewitel Ejifor is told that he has fifteen minutes to talk to her during a helicopter ride, and then she will be in the FBI’s custody. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has their central office in the J Edgar Hoover building seven blocks away from the White House, on the same street no less. Not only would that be one hell of a short helicopter ride, that doesn’t cross the Potomac river as depicted in the movie (one mile away from the white house, shown as a ten minute helicopter ride, that’s one slow helicopter), but it would actually be easier to get there by car.

I picked out that mistake (and verified it by Google maps) after only one visit to the United States capitol, once, around 20 years ago.

Fucking ridiculous.

The only thing south of the Potomac is, I believe, Jefferson Memorial.

looks it up

Oops, turns out it’s just a little corridor of the Potomac that separates Jefferson from the Pentagon. There is nothing south of the Potomac. It’s been that way since Sherman cleared it.

Salt was such an awful movie.

i dug it

also factual inaccurately is never a valid reason to criticize a film

That’s not why I disliked it, btw. I didn’t even notice it because I’m not a map-matical savant.

CIA Headquarters is across the Potomac to the north west, but the helicopter was flying south east according to the landmarks they passed.

Super 8

Incredibly fantastic movie. Loved it all the way through.

Tried watching battle/fight/war/w.e. of LA. Don’t try this at home, kids. Or anywhere for that matter.

I liked that movie :frowning: .

IP Man (10/10) Fucking epic movie. IP Man knows how to fight. And this martial arts movie even has a good story.

IP Man 2 (9/10) Can’t beat the first one. Good action, but with less good story. I still enjoyed it very much.

The Hangover Part II

Not as good as the first, but then again, I didn’t expect it to be. It was still an entertaining way to spend 2 hours.

Not even close, sorry. I’m a north western Pennsylvania resident.

So I watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the first time, and that was excellent. Then last night I sat down and went through Carlito’s Way. It was ok. It had it’s moments, reminding me how much Grand Theft Auto borrows from these types of movies. Ken Rosenberg has got to be a carbon copy of David Kleinfeld. Right down to the coke addiction and flakey voice that seemed to never get out of puberty.

Northwest Pennsylvania is a hell of a lot closer to New Jersey than Russia
