The Last Film You Saw.

“The Matrix DeZIONized” ?

I’m not sure if its this one, there might be others.

I would have called it The Matrices: Reloaded.

The Revenant - a surprisingly good, if distinctly low-budget film.

Final Destination 5: What the fuck. I’ve seen some of the others (1 & 3 I think) and while they were also ridiculous, they were nothing compared to the massive amount of stupidness put in the production of this movie.

Hey now, I actually liked those movies. The Matrix is my favorite movie, and I found the sequels to be favorable extensions to the universe, as with Animatrix. Watch them, and establish your opinion of them after.

The Book of Eli was also an excellent post apocalyptic movie. Loved it.

Eli was decent, I wasn’t too thrilled with the twist at the end though. It worked for the subject, I guess, but ehh.

The Matrix sequels would have been perfectly fine popcorn movies, had they not been tied to the first movie. IMO, anyway.

The only problem I had with Reloaded was the huge orgy scene in Zion. It’s passable at best, however since the first time I saw the first movie (before the sequels ever came out) I had a yearning to see Zion. Every action and story building sequence in Reloaded fit with what I wanted in a new Matrix movie. Yes, it went in a very different direction than the first, but you really don’t want the same thing in every follow-up otherwise it starts to get old, like the Saw movies.

Revolutions was just epically explosive all the way through. I wasn’t crazy about Neo going blind about half way through the movie, but I understand why. It was an excellent way to wrap up the trilogy with awesome mech battles and over the top anime style fight sequences. Not as good as Reloaded, however I enjoyed every minute of it.

I think the biggest flaw is that Neo became 100% less interesting the moment he achieved demigod status. His flaw was his Keanu-y “broness”. Without that, he’s just a half asian plank with botox (who doesn’t fucking need it because he’s half asian)

Yeah, so I just got around to watching Children of Men. I hate myself for not watching it sooner. It’s so fucking awesome. It won best cinematography the year it came out right? It deserved every last bit of praise for it.

told you so :awesome:

I barely knew anything about it, yet I decided to buy the DVD for some reason… so I start watching it, and it seemed interesting and he’s getting some coffee and walking down the street and then BAM! and I realize I’m going to love the rest of the movie.

Beaten by Pan’s Labyrinth… :’( (I haven’t seen that one so I can’t compare to see if it deserved it)

The last movie I saw was Hófehér, a Hungarian animated film from 1983. The version I found was dubbed [poorly] in Russian, and I stitched together some subtitles from a friend.

Before that, I had watched Lord of the Rings: Return of the King again, and also A Scanner Darkly.

I watched The Net yesterday.

Kinda boring all things considered.

Also, lol IP addresses.

Act of Valor, pretty much was awful with the exception of the actual fight scenes, their ‘lingo’ was spot on and their movements brought one single manly tear to my eye. Everything else I found really meh.

That’s precisely why my fiance hates these movies. tbh, my only prior experience with Keanu Reeves before the Matrix movies was Speed, so I hadn’t really acquired a distaste for him. So after The Matrix, it was Constantine, and I enjoyed that quite a bit. Maybe because it was a Neo-like role.

This is kind of a film or something: https://www.effectgames.com/demos/canvascycle/

The Avengers

Absoluetly.
Fucking.
Amazing!!!

Best superhero movie since The Dark Knight, although different things are the reason.

The humour, the action scenes, the dialogue. This movie has exceeded my expectations. Pure nerdgasm through the whole movie.

La Haine (Hate in some regions).

Brillant. It’s the kind of movie that makes you uncomfortable, yet you can’t stop watching it and as it progresses you feel more and more cramped, almost distressed until it reaches climax; the end of the movie that is.

If you enjoy psychological, slow movies (or even if you don’t, it might actually make it more enjoyable), watch it now. I don’t know if a English dubbed version exists, but subtitles are easily available. There is also the original french version on YouTube.

Equilibrium… I can’t believe this film got past my radar…it is pure awesomeness. Just saw it today :\

Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
