LotR - The Two Towers
I’m rewatching the extended edition.
Most modern horror films do suck balls. They think just because they want to make it scary, they can skimp out on actual acting talent. Seriously, I think there are only a few horror film-only actors and actresses that are picked over and over for horror films because they are talentless.
The problem is, the original Final Destination and FD2 were quite enjoyable shtick and the fourth one (and third, come to think of it) shat all over them. The only decent horror movies I can think of have come from overseas (The Orphanage, [REC], Let the Right One In, for example).
Although I did enjoy Drag Me to Hell.

Yeah, Sam Raimi is one of the few people left who knows how to make a decent horror movie. But then again I’d expect no less from mister Evil Dead.
But old horrors are far superior. Alien, The Thing (John Carpenter’s), Aliens, Evil Dead just to name a few.
Also, in horrors; puppets, stop motion and animatronics are superior to CGI.
If you haven’t watched the foreign ones I recommended, I suggest you give them a watch (and not the imminent American remakes).
Yeah I’ve been meaning to watch [REC] for a while now. Heard good things about it. Will check out the others aswell. Thanks for the suggestions.
[REC] is excellent, one of the scariest movies I’ve seen in the past year or so. Sadly I’ve heard that the second one isn’t very good

Watched Deliverance. Pretty good movie and scary because it could actually happen. I didn’t expect it to be as realistic as it was.

Avatar 3D in IMAX, just today. Kinda disappointing because the theater wasn’t a true IMAX… just a converted normal theater marketed as “IMAX”.
The movie itself was not as disappointing. My second time watching it. 9/10
