dear christ, that movie sucked.
There wasn’t one thing about that movie that I liked.
hafta agree. decided to watch it very recently. the intro with Godspeed You Black Emperor’s East Hastings is immense.
I liked the first one, too.
But the later ones are a bad case of sequelitis.

i was actually considering watching the second one some time after it came out, but then i heard they were doing the third one, then fourth one and i just realized they’d all be the same shit so i never did
Watched Roadracers yesterday, pretty awesome. I love pretty much everything Rodriguez has directed.
first season of Rome. not bad at all. i particularly like how they have the really juvenile vulgarities as well as great dialogue that isn’t dumbed down.
also: Cloverfield and Dead Snow. both alright, but somewhat lacking.
Even the Spy Kids trilogy? Sharkboy & Lavagirl?
Aside from those, the movies of his I’ve seen have been pretty good. (Planet Terror was pretty cheesy, though I guess that was the whole point)
I have Oldboy from Netflix right now, gonna watch it tonight or tomorrow.
Oldboy is awesome.
I watched the first Spy Kids with my cousin and niece, dubbed in Dutch (which sucks). Can’t say I liked it. Didn’t watch those others, but they’re pretty much children’s movies.

Finished Oldboy last night. I wasn’t a huge fan of the overall story, but I did like the characters and the camera work.

The Ghost Writer. Really mediocre tbh, I expected a lot more after reading some of the reviews.

Doesn’t really count as a movie, but i saw the first episode of The Walking Dead on AMC. Really, really good.
Agree. I liked it pretty well until the ending, which was not only depressing, but also kind of strange, since one of the last things the Ghost does in the movie was rather out of character. And the abruptness of his discovery right before that was weird too. The whole ending seemed kind of tacked on at the last minute.
also, I thought that the final plot twist (the one involving pierce brosnan’s wife) was pretty predictable. after the sex scene, it was obvious that spoilers [COLOR=‘Black’]she was trying to play innocent and she was the CIA agent.
The last film I saw was Back to the Future an hour ago, do I really need to rate that?
As for the latest “recent” film, uhh, Toy Story 3. It was pretty damn good.

easily one of the best movies i’ve ever seen
Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World was pretty awesome, i love fighting games and comic books are pretty cool, so the nerd explosion on screen was awesome. easily one of the best viewing experiences I’ve had, plus massive amounts of marijuana seem to make movies like that a thousand times better.
