The Headcrab Thread!

So I heard you guys like Head crabs here is a cool skin I found that makes them look better: https://gamebanana.com/hl2/skins/4999

Did anyone have any issues with the headcrabs on the lift? There were several challenges and preferences surrounding that bit so I am wondering what folks thought of it.

The headcrabs move all wonky on the lift, so it really game-y, if you know what I mean. But it’s great nontheless

:chortle: “game-y” I gotta use that in a sentence today.

In my first playthrough, I tried to surf down the elevator shaft to see if I could make it safely… but the bottom was certain-death.

On my reload, I went to do the same thing but stopped short of jumping. I rode in front of the railing, crouching, and they all overshot me. It was hilarious. (I rode the front so I could keep my eye open for any hidden areas full of extra resources~ and was very pleased with what I found… that map is awesome)

The headcrabs move really weird just like they did in the original Half-life. I’m sure this animation problem was fixed in Half-Life Source but I’m not sure might have to try it out later and see.

Strafe (Right) Strafe (Left) Xenolution?

Looks like I was right I fired up Half-Life source just see if they fixed that problem and they did.

So then I was wandering around the console and found this
sv_headcrab_can_latch_on_player
Its set to 0. BM originally have a feature to get a headcrab in yer head?
