The Happy Topic

It lets you run downloaded CDs and DVDs without putting them on a disc first.
Good for things like digitally distributed software.

^ An ISO is a file version of everything that’s on a CD. ‘Mounting’ it means you’re making the OS think the ISO is a disk.

When a man and some questionably-legal software love eachother very much, he will “mount” the ISO and they will be very happy together.

ImgBurn works fine under Windows 8. I use that to rip my PS2 discs.

Hey, you can get ISOs for legit stuff too. Less common, but…

offtopic, but ISO is also on trucks and other heavy machinery, it’s a standard naming scheme for, well, standards

Went to report some spam, but the thread got deleted while I was writing the one-word report.

The moderators are on the case!

So yeah, back to actual happy topics- I managed to get down to 230lbs. Woo!

I thought I lost weight on my Florida trip, but I’m still 220 when I weighed myself in Orlando the other day, which is weird because I have had to cinch up my belt two notches since getting down here…

weight != girth

Let’s think about this for a moment though. What are humans generally composed of? Muscle, fat, water, and bone. I’m pretty sure it would take longer than two weeks for bone density to go up as significantly as to compensate for any loss in water weight or fat that I feel like I could have experienced, which leave muscle mass, and I haven’t been working out much down here. My legs might have shown a slight growth in endurance and strength, but nothing compared to the slimming of my waist. I feel like i have lost 10 to 20 pounds, but I am the same weight as I was before. It’s a conundrum, and it’s bothering me.

don’t fixate on numbers, if you feel good and you’re healthy, who cares : D

Meanwhile, I have to deal with being underweight.

I can’t really bring myself to complain about it.

I have female friends that do this, so it’s not like you don’t have the right.

I hate it when people tell me I’m too skinny. You wouldn’t just tell someone they’re too fat would you.

I totally would.

I also correct people’s spelling mistakes and inform them if they’re going bald.

Meh, fat, skinny, who gives a shit.

If you’re not satisfied with it, do something about it. People can judge, but that doesn’t mean you have to do something about it on their account.

“You, you’re going bald. You should try harder to grow hair.”

Pretty much, yes.

So I went and applied for a job as a PCA in a Pool position today (basically a backup CNA for when there’s spots to be filled in a hospital) at 10 am. It is now 3 pm and I officially have the job  it’s not the greatest position, as you’re only guaranteed 4 shifts a month, but it pays 14 bucks an hour, and there’s so much opportunity for getting shifts as a sitter that it is staggering. So it’ll be a good way to move into a more lucrative position, with similar pay and benefits, with more shifts xD

WHO GOT MAD INTERVIEW SKILLS? THIS BASTARD DOES. WOOT!

Well. I got mad skills, but it also probably helps that I have strong connections too…but still, that interview went amazingly in my opinion, and to call back this fast is amazing too x)

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
