Steam Early Access release questions

There is a section of the team dedicated to fixing existing issues and maintaining MP, while the rest of us work on Xen.

We’re very fluid and will be working on different things simultaneously.

Excellent. That’s exactly what I wanted to know.

Aaaaaaannnnnndddd… click purchased.

Purchase now = Xen updated to your game for free later.

Yeah, I knew that part, but I wasn’t willing to buy until I knew Xen was being worked on. Last we heard ages ago was “much later”, which was disheartening. I care less about the money and more about the time. If we had to wait for a long list of bugs to be fixed before work on Xen even began, I wouldn’t have bought it yet. But TextFAMGUY1 made it clear that work on Xen was simultaneous. You guys should make that fact more widely known!

I’m still not going to even install it until Xen is ready. I’m just going to read about bug progress til then.

Only if Nihilanth is voiced by you, otherwise purchase cancelled.

TextFAMGUY1[/size] Well, I’ve bought steam version and I have one question for you personally - I don’t see “Uncut” version of “On the rail” inside steam vrsion so far, will it be included later or should I install it into steam version of BM? Will it even work with steam version?

He’ll be adding a Steam-compatible version to the workshop eventually.

So if I buy it now and the full version releases for let’s say $25, will I have to pay $25 again or just pay $5?

Early access is designed so that you never have to pay twice. If you buy the game in early access, you get it forever. Never have to pay again or pay extra.

Already answered.

Oh. Even though it will be there available freely on the workshop I still feel let down that it’s not in the core game.

You’re going to have to wait for the Steam Workshop versions of the mods.

Meh, Workshop is a good middleground. Those who want it can have it no problem, those who don’t have no need to fuss with it.

Oh now wouldnt this be interesting. A FEMALE Nihilinth? hrm. I will have to see if I can conjure up some alien sounding gurgles to see if I can offer a plausible application.

Lets stay on topic. Other side stuff either has its own thread or start one.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
