I use Blender and I made the low polymodel manually.
Why is the UV Map a mess? okay, it doesn’t use the space efficiently but I work on it soon.
not only that, many of the uv are streached, and tehre are some errors.

After taking a look at Josh’s thread, this thread’s title was strangely misleading. But I like the model anyway, even though its polycount is ridiculously high. Still, that makes it look realistic, right? It’s all in the detail, as people say.
But, what are you supposed to do with the screw?

blender can bake normal maps, what are you on about?
yes it can and I did, but look at the result I posted
What is polycount?
Use the 74 polycount, the bolt is still nice and round instead of boxy. Then just use normal maps for the ridges and +.
Looks like one of those optical illusion.
