Oh sorry, must of skimmed past it.
Not unlike most of your posts, kenny
well I’m only considering the shows you guys give good arguments for, so yeah
finished watching all of Archer yesterday btw, thanks
The fuck did I do?
That list reminds me to recommend Twin Peaks.
Basically, before the first episode, Laura Palmer is murdered, each episode is one day, and the series is the weeks after her death. It gets pretty weird and pretty awesome. The movie (Fire Walk With Me) is a prequel and will spoil the series for you, so if you’re going to watch it, watch it after. It shows the events leading up to Laura Palmer’s murder, and IMO feels rushed. Probably because the show takes it’s time to tell it’s story.
The text in my sig is a quote from Twin Peaks.
I actually watched that show a couple of times. The first time It seemed like a comedy, the second time it seemed very serious. I was confused.
That’s how it goes. It really rarely takes itself seriously.
Well then watch Fringe.
Also if you’re into mindfuck plots and kickass visuals, Aeon Flux is a good place to start… Had a real Deus Ex feel to it… or was it the other way around? Yep. The Ion Storm guys were definitely watching Aeon Flux. Again, if you skipped childhood Samuri Jack is a good thing to revisit. imo, the show has risen over age group classification. It’s just good, bro.
But for gods sake don’t watch the movie of the same title.
E: @ Aeon Flux
Is American Horror Story any good?
Not really.
I like it. It’s different from a lot of the haunted house movies/shows, I’m not going to tell you why though. I think it’s really interesting. I’d suggest watching the first episode or two and seeing yourself.
Speaking of series, the Swedish TV miniseries extended cut of the “Dragon Tattoo Trilogy” finally got a US blu ray. I just mainlined all three extended cuts- they’re very, VERY good. “Played with Fire” in particular was much more comprehensible with the added scenes.
yo guys, thanks for the suggestions
these are the shows you have convinced me to watch:
arrested development
community
firefly
fringe
deadwood
aeon flux
samurai jack
twin peaks
so i wont be needing anything for a long while now
i’ve already finished archer and i’ve almost finished arrest development
i started watching twin peaks before, but for some reason i couldnt really get into it, even though i thought it was really good, so i stopped
Dr. Who.
Just watch it.
I know you already have enough suggestions but Warehouse 13 seems to be cool too if you’re into sci-fi X-files types of shows.
sounds good, adding it to the list
not sure yet what i’ll be watching first
Firefly is only like, 13 or so episodes.
