Just started playing Metro 2033 - so far this is great! The graphics are just mind-blowingly awesome, I’m playing it at 1920x1200 @ Very High DX9, imagine what DX11 with tesselation looks like.

God damn, I wish my computer could run things looking like that.
Not bad for a two year old computer huh (apart from the NVIDIA GTX 285), it manages to pull off a respectable smooth 30 FPS on average throughout the game.
Jesus, that must have cost you a shit load.
It looks awesome, move on.
The graphics settings are set to ‘Very High’ in-game.
Nice try.
I can’t change the “AAA” setting, not sure why.
edit:
With a DirectX 9 card the game doesn’t just offer less DirectX 11 features but also other visual finesses: You have for example no Multisampling Anti-Aliasing but only the Morphological Anti-Aliasing (called Analytical Anti-Aliasing by 4A Games). Furthermore you don’t get the Object Motion Blur: While Metro 2033 uses only decent blur to illustrate the speed of the player, the fast movements of NPCs or enemies are made more realistic with the effect.
I don’t get why so many games take away basic features for those with directx9 cards that are perfectly capable on such cards.
Although, I’m not sure why you don’t get the DX10 features such as full motion blur and proper AA… unless you have Windows XP.
I can use DX10, I simply haven’t tried it yet because I’m certain the FPS will drop a lot with minimal increase in graphics. As for anti aliasing, some games such as GTA IV don’t support it because they use deferred shading techniques.
Meh, anti-aliasing is irrelevant if you have a big enough resolution on a small enough viewing area.
That’s right, Real-Life® doesn’t have AA.
Indeed, I didn’t have any problems with jagged edges when playing the game.
Nor do I :retard:
UKFOOTIE!
Being a goalie is like being the ultimate fan. You watch, you cheer, and you want them to win. Better yet, you can keep them from losing. And you cheer for the rest of your team not only because you want your team to win, but because the better they do, the less work you have to do. That’s the ultimate motivation for cheering.
And seriously, I can’t see any pixellation except for low-res transparent textures.
Is that umbrella non-textured?
I win at health preservation.

^^ @Spycrabz That was the slide after I raped all the zombies and you asked how many bodies were there.
There are ways to get AA while using deferred shading; using edge detection on the final image and then blurring over the edges is the most common method.
Never knew that Door.
I don’t think this should be here but i thought of posting it.
Burj Dubai…AKA biggest thing in the world
They kinda look the same except Burj Dubai is turning narrow as it gets higher.
Besides that…Both of the are epic and look awesome.
Maybe combine will come on Earth on real life and turn it into a Citadel too.XD
Oops, I forgot to show you the screenies of your sniper hat. :fffuuu:
