Uh oh, looks like someone doesn’t know the metaphysics of Morrowind. The teachings of Vivec state that the entire world exists in effect within the dream of a god called the Godhead. There is then a long and confusing series of implications of this that, when combined with the concept of dragon breaks, effectively create a canonical reason for the multitude of different player options and makes all of the canon, including the console and the many abandoned save games.
