Metro 2033 is actually a very good game with lots of atmosphere.
It’s based on a book and follows it very well so the scripted events are what brings in the immersion.
Plus there’s mutated librarian gorillas that stare at your crotch.

No, I think he means like ladders, vents, or anywhere else you have to jump, duck or climb to proceed or where the sci or guard just stops and says something to the effect of not going another step and there’s no way of making them cross some invisible line that they decide to stop at.
