The taunt was added in as a reference to the Spycrab meme, which was incredible fun to do sometimes. I’ve even been on an entire team of spycrabs once, all walking towards the unsuspecting (and very confused/amused) enemy team. I tended to only do it during startup though so as not to spoil matches. Anyway, I never loved Valve more than when they acknowledged it by adding that awesome taunt animation.
If you’ve not seen that Lamsey, I guess you’ve probably not seen the hip-thrusing sniper dance either? Next time we’re playing together I’ve got to show you that one!

@bean: nope, not seen that. Although you’ll have a hard time catching my notice in spawn, I’m usually too busy waving my sandvich around.
You really do taunt after every killstreak/sentry destruction you get.

I took some screenshots near the beginning of Nova Prospekt a few days ago, and since today I finally started Entanglement, I decided to post 'em.

I would’ve turned this screenshot into a wallpaper, but gah, the HUD got in the way…
I loved this one. That water looks so realistic… I never thought my crappy video card would render such beautiful reflections.
And… that’s it. I probably should have taken take some more screenshots, but I forgot to do it. Let’s see if I keep that in mind next time I fire up HL2.

I’ve been fiddling around with some of the older versions of FakeFactory, which only have hires textures. Mixed results, not as noticeable as I woulda liked, but apparently you need a higher resolution, and obviously more AA and AF to see the best of it.
