fedoras for some reason are mostly worn with people that have no sense of style because they think fedoras are stylish, which they are not
because of this they have forever been branded as unstylish by people with style
thus no one that could actually potentially make a fedora work style-wise even tries to, leaving us with no good examples on how to wear a fedora
people wanting to wear fedoras are now left without good examples on how to match the hat, meaning they just slap the goddamn hat on without thinking about it, looking bad in the process (most times thinking that the hat itself will make them look good despite their general lack of taste in clothes)
it’s a downward spiral of unstylishness really
please please avoid fedoras
I find it odd that the word ‘fashionable’ has ended up with positive connotations. It just means that you dress according to current trends, instead of how you feel like clothing yourself.
When I hear people say they are fashionable, all I hear is ’ I dress the way other people like me to. ’

Since I first saw Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was a kid, I always wanted a fedora like that… Notice that in the ~30 years since then, I have yet to own a single fedora. My sense of fashion downright SUCKS, but come on, even I know better than to try and pull that one off…
