too late honey. I already updated. =-\

Was fixing up the cabin. I had a crowbar so I just had to make this.
I lol’d
Just FYI, having a crowbar doesn’t make you Gordon Freeman. Crowbars are common household tools. Also, why does everything in people on this forum’s lives have to relate to Half-Life? :mono:
Probably because they’re on a forum for a remake of it.
Anyway, me and m’lady before Homecoming Saturday night:
Doesn’t mean every goddamn thing has to be about Half-life. Especially in the off-topic section. :meh:
well… it is half-life.
only people with their lives halved would spend so much time and emotions on forums like this /* and in internets in whole ,) */
A-fuckin’-greed. More to the point, I think I haven’t played Half-Life in a single year yet I’m still here posting.
That might be funny if the game’s title wasn’t referring to the time it takes for half of a radioactive isotope to decay.
so now you’re telling physicist what ‘half-life’ means. cool.
btw, it’s ‘50% chanse that the core of the isotope…’, go get some education ,]
That’s funny, I always thought that a half-life was an exponential measure of time that it takes a given radioactive source to decay half of its unstable atoms into a more stable state, with each half-life resulting in gradually less & less material stabilising (and usually becoming less radioactive). Forgive me if my memory of GCSE science has failed me though…
Seems pretty right to me ijgs.
But forgive me, I last did chemistry 3 years ago.
this is closer to the common definition of half-life as a phenomenon, but there’re several fields using this term - chemistry, biology, nuc.physics, and it’s interpretations differ in every of them.
now someone should rename the topic or post a picture, i guess
I have yet to take it. Most of what I know I read about on my own.
I got chemistry class. I am so gonna turkey slap to death the dude who invented the horrible thing that is the “mole”.
I’m pretty certain that a half-life is a half-life is a half-life… what is measured changes, for sure, be it cellular decay, isotope decay, tooth decay or Peter Kay; a half-life is still an exponential measurement of time, where each successive half-life period applies to half the remaining object-to-be-measured.
Oh yeah, it’s a picture thread… get this:

me looking blissfully happy about getting married. It’s been pretty good so far!
This man is correct.
But that’s good. I might soon-ish… After I finish my damn Ph.d
But come on people, post pictures! It will seem as if I got us off topic.
(I did, but shh…)
While you’re at it, can you slap to death the guy who decided the abbreviation of “mole” should be “mol” as well?
Whats so bad about it?
10 mol for undiluded solution.
1 mol for 10x deluded solution.
I’d love to get some 10 mol hydrofluoric acid one day, the problem would be finding a place to keep it.
