Since my desktop is always blank, I’ll just post my wallpaper.
Yah, also prefer to run with no icons. I try to treat it like my real desktop. Nothing on it so I have room when I need to for projects plus looks nicer between projects
Also without further ado My Alive clock is finished!
Edit: got it uploaded!
[download/more info on the da page]
overcomplicating the task of telling the time has never been so stylish
thats pretty fuckign awesome dude.
To be perfectly blunt, I see no clock.
@siggs :3
@coll thx
@wheybags That means I win!
Also if you follow this path I find it simpler than using an analogue clock.
Left triangles are hours, right are 5 minutes a piece, rows of the squares on the bottom are lower than one minute, and the pyramid grows over the hour to its full size.
close…Left diamonds are hours, right are 5 minutes, rows of blue squares for sub minutes, and the pyramid slowly “grows” each minute counting the seconds.
That is pretty cool, but seeing as how I have trouble reading a normal clock, I don’t reeealy think it’s for me.
@ram
after using it you build (rather readjust) your mental shortcuts that you normally use with a standard clock. e.g. the bottom of bottom clock is 30 minutes, right and left are 15 and 45 respectively.
I didn’t just willy-nilly convert the daft punk logo into a clock like hundreds of the other un-usable “stylish” clocks out there. I had to modify the alive logo and decide the order to fill in the diamonds. I chose the 1/2/3/3/3/2/1 pattern because it would follow the normal 3/6/9 rule that rotary clocks use.
What do you take me for? You know we use only the finest SCIENCE here.
@samzala
Still love that lego wallpaper.
Sauce, oh god, sauce.
You may notice, a website in the lower right of the left picture.
But I’ll link it anyway. https://ablativeimagery.com/
And the right monitor is on a slideshow of all the pictures of Portal 2 that I have gotten on Kotaku.
Also, get on steam fgt, chat needed to be had.
Thanks for the link bro. Sorry for not coming online, I’ve been out pretty much every day this week.
The laptop
